Review: Saal Digital Photo Book

I had the opportunity to product test one of Saal Digital's photo books. I was curious to see what the quality was like as I quite often get books printed for clients.

I opted for a 26 page, A4 (28x19cm) Glossy Photo Book. I mocked up a very quick front cover to be used on the book:

When the book arrived I was pretty impressed with the print quality of the front and back cover.

However, the real surprise was opening the book and seeing the quality of the pages! Each page inside the book looks like a full quality glossy print. I have flicked through many photo books, but I've never seen pages of this quality. The glossy prints have accurate colour, sharp details and a great level of contrast.

I added a mix of single images and panoramas spread across two pages.

I opted to use Saal Digital's own software which is available on both Windows and Mac to layout the images in my book.

It was incredibly easy to use and allowed me to create a book in no time, you even order the book directly through the website so there's no jumping back and forth between the software and their website.

Overall I'm incredibly impressed with the quality of this book and I would highly recommend you checkout Saal Digital next time you need to print a photo book.

I will certainly be ordering a batch of books in the very near future.
